Image Processing

All image tools on IWantFreeImageTools.com process files locally in your browser using the browser's built-in Canvas API. When you drop an image into one of our tools:

• The file is loaded into browser memory as a JavaScript object
• Canvas operations (resize, compress, convert, crop) are applied entirely on your device
• The result is made available for download directly from browser memory
• No image data is sent over the network at any point

Even if you use our tools for confidential business images, medical photos, or personal pictures, we cannot see them. There is no server on our end receiving this data.

HEIC Conversion

The HEIC to JPG tool uses the open-source heic2any library loaded from a public CDN (jsDelivr). Only the JavaScript library file is fetched from the CDN, not your images. The HEIC conversion runs locally on your device using the fetched library code.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how our tools are used in aggregate. Google Analytics collects anonymized data including page views, session duration, and general geographic region. We have IP anonymization enabled. No personal data is collected.

Google Analytics may use cookies. If you prefer not to be tracked by Google Analytics, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense may use cookies and collect data to personalize ads based on your browsing activity. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized ads through Google's Ad Settings.

Cookies

We use localStorage to save your last-used settings (such as preferred image dimensions in the resizer). This data stays on your device and is not transmitted anywhere. It is used only to improve your experience when you return to the tool.

No Account Required

We do not require registration, login, or any personal information to use our tools. We do not collect email addresses, names, or any identifying information through the tools.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The last updated date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
